Who I am

My name is Kevin Wolter, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual, and I believe in a strong, collaborative effort between myself and my clients while in sessions. My training is specialized in helping clients manage symptoms of anxiety and depression, and I also have experience helping clients navigate relationship issues, emerging adulthood, and professional goals. Clients who work with me will be given tools in the form of coping mechanisms and other strategies to assist with management of symptoms they are experiencing.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while working with clients, but I also utilize elements of Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a strengths-based approach. However, along with evidence based modalities, I believe building a strong and trusting relationship between myself and my clients is the most important piece in an effective therapeutic relationship.

My clients can expect a warm, open-minded environment where trust between myself and clients can be formed. Most importantly clients will feel empowered during sessions, as I am committed to meeting clients where they are at in their lives rather than pushing an agenda.
